UPS Runtime Extension
Review compatible battery options for longer UPS runtime using the exact UPS model, measured load, existing batteries and target backup duration.

WHEN YOU NEED THIS SOLUTION
Start with the operating need.
When the existing backup window is too short, or changed operating requirements call for a longer period on battery.
CONFIGURATION APPROACH
Match the configuration
to the requirement.
Start with the UPS model and actual load. Check supported battery arrangements, DC voltage, battery chemistry, charger limits and manufacturer runtime data before proposing a battery configuration.
What we review
- UPS model and supported external battery arrangements
- Actual operating load and target runtime
- Existing battery voltage, quantity, capacity and condition
- Charger capacity, recharge time and available space
WHAT TO PREPARE
Share your starting point.
UPS model, current battery model and quantity, battery system voltage, actual load, present runtime and target runtime.
If you do not have every parameter, begin with the equipment models and describe the requirement.
What you receive
- Configuration recommendations
- A proposed product list and relevant specifications
- A quotation for the agreed products
COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you select.
Can every UPS accept additional batteries?
No. Some models support external battery modules or specific battery arrangements; others do not. Expansion must be checked against the manufacturer specifications for the exact model.
Will replacing old batteries extend the runtime?
Replacing aged batteries may restore lost performance, but it does not automatically increase runtime beyond the original configuration. A longer target requires a separate compatibility and capacity review.
Can you guarantee runtime from battery capacity alone?
No. Runtime depends on the actual load, UPS efficiency, battery characteristics and system configuration. The proposed runtime must be checked using relevant manufacturer data.
Check expansion support before adding batteries
An external battery connection does not establish compatibility by itself. Confirm the model’s supported battery arrangement, charger capacity and runtime data at the actual load. Understand UPS runtime and battery capacity.
