WHEN YOU NEED THIS SOLUTION

Start with the operating need.

When additional equipment exceeds planned headroom, an existing UPS needs replacement or future growth requires a different power architecture.

CONFIGURATION APPROACH

Match the configuration
to the requirement.

Compare the current system and future load, then assess supported expansion or suitable replacement products. Include electrical compatibility, batteries, available space and continuity requirements in the proposal.

What we review

  • Existing UPS model, ratings and operating load
  • Additional equipment and expected future load
  • Supported modular or parallel expansion, where applicable
  • Power connections, battery compatibility and physical space

WHAT TO PREPARE

Share your starting point.

Existing UPS and battery details, current and planned load, electrical supply, physical space, runtime target and required continuity during the change.

If you do not have every parameter, begin with the equipment models and describe the requirement.

What you receive

  • Configuration recommendations
  • A proposed product list and relevant specifications
  • A quotation for the agreed products

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you select.

Can I add capacity to my current UPS?

Only if the model supports an appropriate expansion method. Modular or parallel capability is model-specific; otherwise replacement or a separate configuration may be more suitable.

Can existing batteries be reused?

Reuse requires checks on voltage, chemistry, capacity, age, condition and manufacturer compatibility. Existing batteries should not be assumed suitable for a different UPS.

Will an upgrade require an interruption?

That depends on the current system, available bypass arrangements and the change being made. Share continuity requirements early so they can be considered in the configuration review.

Compare replacement, expansion and redundancy

Document present loading, future additions and the existing system configuration. Extra batteries extend runtime where supported; they do not increase the UPS output power rating. For modular systems, compare installed modules and system limits. Explore modular UPS systems.
